A Bold and Unique Wedding at The Yellow Barn

This past Saturday, we celebrated with Lynnzie and Joe at The Yellow Barn in Quicksburg, Virginia! It was an unusually warm November day — nearly 70 degrees, with a perfect mix of sunshine and clouds — and we were treated to one last touch of fall color before the season fades completely.

Their wedding was a bold mix of black and red, inspired by their favorite show, The Vampire Diaries. The bridesmaids wore black, mismatched dresses while the groomsmen dressed in black suits with red vests and ties. Joe stood out in an all-black look that fit the theme perfectly, and Lynnzie looked stunning in her wedding dress from She Said Yes Boutique in Winchester. The contrast between the dark, moody color palette and the bright yellow-and-blue barn (which is filled with rows of antique carriages!), made for a truly memorable setting.

Lynnzie’s personality brought so much life to the day — she has a laugh that can light up any room, and her joy was contagious from start to finish. One of my favorite parts of the day was their golden hour portraits. The sunset glowed behind the mountains and added the dreamiest warmth to their photos. I also loved capturing their wedding details — those small touches of red and black came together beautifully in photos and tied the theme together in a way that felt intentional and unique.
Congratulations, Lynnzie and Joe! It was such a fun day celebrating your marriage.

Enjoy an overview of their wedding day!
