Life Update with BIG NEWS.

Hey hey! I feel like it wasn't that long ago that I wrote my 2022 Reflection Post, and now here we are already a quarter of the way through this year? CRAZY! I figured it was about time to post an update, especially because I have some very exciting (and a little scary) things happening this year! If you're here for the big news scroll to the highlighted bits.

The first few months of this year had a pretty slow start. For photographers, the winter months are usually the slower season for obvious reasons like the weather and the generally sad look of the outdoors. I used that time to make some updates to my website and portfolio, host some Valentine's themed mini sessions, and upgrade my gear.

I also did a few model calls to get some extra fun content. This included a beautiful maternity session with a painted belly and some baby's breath, and a sunset picnic shoot with some fun props. Photos of these below!

Now I am gearing up for spring sessions, working on maybe hosting spring mini sessions and an event for high school and college girls that I have titled "Girls in Fancy Dresses for No Reason" (it's a work in progress haha). Stay tuned for more info on those two things!!

I also have some really cool events coming up. In May, I have a wedding booked, followed by a high school graduation at the beginning of June! I would love to get more weddings on my calendar for 2023... wink, wink!

Speaking of June, I'll be pretty much unavailable for the whole month because. . . I'M GETTING MARRIED! Many of you already know that I got engaged to Daniel last October, but I have not shared much about the wedding date! June 10th is our lucky day followed by a honeymoon to Tennessee and South Carolina (the mountains + the beach... perfect!). Wedding planning is both fun and crazy, and I have to say that being a photographer has helped me a lot in creating my dream wedding. I have been using my creativity to its fullest extent in designing our wedding invitations and signage, crafting floral arrangements, and making my wedding a truly unique experience.

I told you earlier I had both exciting and scary things happening this year. All of this is exciting, but there's one thing that can definitely be labeled as scary - it will affect both my personal life and my business in many ways! Okay, here it is. I'm moving. After June 10, I'll be relocating to Harrisonburg, Va., where Daniel works. While I'm excited for a new adventure there, the impact it will have on my business is unknown to me! My motto right now is "God has a plan, and everything will work out the way it needs to," and I'm holding to that. Relocating my business is a little nerve wracking since mine is still under a year old and I don't have an established client base, but of course, everything will work out the way it needs to so I'm not going to worry about it. ;)

The GOOD NEWS is, I still intend to make the drive to Warrenton often to visit friends and family. This means that I will still be operating my business in Warrenton and surrounding areas, as well as Harrisonburg. So, I guess you could say my business is just expanding a little bit! Please know that if you would like to have me as your photographer, I would love to come back for a session with you. I will be posting updates about when I'll be around so, please make sure to follow my social media or join my mailing list to catch

me!

That being said, life is moving pretty quickly for me right now as I go through apartment applications, wedding dress fittings, and a whole slew of other things to prepare for a new phase of life. I have limited availability in March - May.

If you are interested in booking a session with me before summer, please consider reaching out soon so I can get you on my calendar.

Thank you all for the love and support you have shown me. Getting to create beautiful pictures for a living is a dream come true and not many people can say they have their dream job. The rest of this year may look a little different, but I am excited for what's to come!
